This program is designed individually for those who are going through criteria requirements to undergo weight loss surgery, or those who prefer a non-surgical weight loss option. This program is 12 weeks in length and can be extended if you wish. Your satisfaction of our weight loss program* is our goal. To ensure your compliance and understanding, personal experiences and lifestyle changes are discussed to verify participation of each individual.

Our medical weight loss program* includes real food items to avoid dependency with specific food supplements. Portion sizes are also discussed in a method where it can be easily understood and applied to day to day activities.

The Healthy Start Kit includes:

After finishing the 12-week program, candidates should understand and be able to continue and maintain weight loss without supervision and safely apply method to their new life style. Continuous portion control and exercise regimen is emphasized during the maintenance phase to ensure a long term successful outcome.

The Program Fee includes:

  • medical screening-visit with Internist
  • healthy start kit
  • two meal replacements (35 servings each)

  • five office visits with a dietitian

Our program* in great detail

Visit 1: Medical screening by our Physician

Vitals measurements such as height, weight, BMI, medication list, health/surgical history, body measurements, will be obtained during this visit. You will also get lab work done to determine whether or not the participant is clear to start the program. Laboratory work ordered includes: CBC, BMP, Hb A1C and pregnancy serum if you are women of childbearing age. Other clearance and diagnostic studies by other disciplines will be ordered on an as-needed basis.

Visit 2: One-on-One initial visit with Dietitian (Healthy Start Kit will be given)

One-on-one initial visit will consist of an in-depth discussion about the program* and what is expected of the program participants. Vitals and biometrics are obtained and lab work is reviewed. Participant will also be given a packet of paperwork that has: daily dietary plan, allowable food list, shopping list, exercise log, motivator table, weekly diet and exercise diary. From this point on, each session will consist of behavior modification module, exercise module or food module.

Visit 3: Session 1 with Dietitian

Participants are expected to bring all homework assigned (weekly diet diary and exercise log). Topics for this visit include:

  • Behavior Modification Module: An extension of 1 st visit, this session will confirm participant's understanding of the program* and concentrate lifestyle modification, so that they will succeed in this program*.
  • Exercise Module: the class focuses on the difference between exercise and movement. Examples of exercise movements are discussed and tips are given so participant can be more active in the day to day life.
  • Food Module: emphasizes the importance of measuring and including of all food groups while enrolled in the program*. It also has tips for eating out at restaurants and during social engagements.

Visit 4: Session 2 with Dietitian

Participants expected to bring all homework assigned (weekly diet diary and exercise log). Topics for this visit include:

  • Behavior Modification and Food Module: How to practice Mindful Eating.
  • Food Module: discusses importance of hydration and tips how to be the sharp shopper while doing your grocery shopping.
  • Exercise Module: understanding basic metabolism, importance of sleep, physical activity, dietary modification and making change in real life.

Visit 5: Session 3 with Dietitian

Participants expected to bring all homework assigned (weekly diet diary and exercise log). Topics for this visit include:

  • Food Module: Culinary section of the program* will add to participants' knowledge and familiarity with popular herbs and spices.
  • Food Module: Various cooking methods and instructions for each, measuring accurately, food safety, cooling methods, categories of healthy fats and substitution lists are discussed.
  • Exercise and Behavior Modification Module: focuses on written goals upon program* completion, positive thinking and importance of stretching before exercise.

Visit 6: Session 4 with Dietitian

Participants are expected to bring all homework assigned (weekly diet diary and exercise log). Topics for this visit include:

  • Behavior Modification Module: discussion in details on dining out-tips on international cuisines, tips while eating out, holiday hints and how to deal with alcohol challenges.
  • Behavior Modification Module: roundtable discussion about the program, pitfalls, success of the participant and how to keep the weight off
